The rain is falling upon my window.
I am alone.
Thunder crashes and rumbles through the dark sky.
I am alone.
Lightning charges up the night.
I am alone.

some cool stuff
i like cool stuff
it makes me smile
like last thursday when i was in the cage with a live tiger and the crowd was cheering for the tiger to eat me and i had a bubblegum head and i was screaming ‘no! no! mr tiger! dont eat me! my head is made of bubble gum! tigers cant chew bubble gum!” and that made the tiger sad…poor sad tiger.
~adieu
the national anthem of newfoundland as penned by sir cavendish boyle who was subsequently lanced after writing this fine example of vogon poetry:
When sun rays crown thy pine clad hills,
And summer spreads her hand,
When silvern voices tune thy rills,
We love thee, smiling land.
We love thee, we love thee,
We love thee, smiling land. When spreads thy cloak of shimmering white,
At winter’s stern command,
Thro’ shortened day, and starlit night,
We love thee, frozen land.
We love thee, we love thee
We love thee, frozen land.As blinding storm gusts fret thy shore,
And wild waves lash thy strand,
Thro’ spindrift swirl, and tempest roar,
We love thee windswept land.
We love thee, we love thee
We love thee windswept land.As loved our fathers, so we love,
Where once they stood, we stand;
Their prayer we raise to Heaven above,
God guard thee, Newfoundland
God guard thee, God guard thee,
God guard thee, Newfoundland
~adieu
the sky is blue
a beautiful thing
it must be
to be of God
and hear the angels sing
to walk upon the grass
to breath in the air
to bask in the light
to hold in your heart
all that you care
falling away the veils that hide your world
behind the closed windows of the soul
clouded thoughts and beckoned voices
unhallowed grounds for blessed choices
brought to knees, a bitter man
broken by what galleries remain
hardened tasks of brilliant light
remove thy shadows from thine sight
forever destiny remains unshattered
though chains that bind are made of mind’s own matter
clear away the cobwebs and the dust
for mind’s steel trap has fallen to rust
plow the fields of sunken solitude
bereft of life and blinding solemness
behold dreams are seeds to be planted
in your mind’s eye there for the taking
there she lies, beautifully
so beautiful, it pains me so to gaze upon her
to hold her is to hold warmth and passion
i believe in her
soft golden hair
eyes deep in thought
fragrance so becoming
an overwelming power
she listens with an open heart
she speaks with an open mind
she draws me in
with an alluring glance
a whispered word
a tender touch
she holds my heart in her hand
brings me closer with baited breath
i cannot fight her
i dare not fight her
graceful as a cat
tender as a flower
wise as an owl
playful as a tiger
she is passion
she is wisdom
she is strength
she is fragile
she is fever
she is calm
she is pleasure
she is pain
abstract thoughts of pain and remorse
clouded judgment with open eyes
infinity close, past so far behind
grasping, reaching for my last breath
a light in the darkness of my life
shines bright and beautiful
i have become a moth to your flame
gone forever, burned by that i sought
no regrets
no pain
no fear
i hear your name called out at night
a single candle burned in my heart
my soul afire, my passion ablaze
my love true i am bound to your gaze
i know whats right
i know whats wrong
i have been missing you
for so very long
my inner self
my outer guise
alone and face to face
with my love and disgrace
i cannot begin to know
overwhelmed by what i see
cloaked in darkness
and shadowed by light
alone in ones self
without being, without ending
perished upon hearts domain
very little of me remains
soft solicitation
boredom feeds
unwarranted frustrations
blindly spiraling down
aggravated black decay
burning desires of a brighter day
crisp sounds
brilliant hues
alleviate me from my darkened gloom
